Sherry Linker lives in Michigan with her husband Greg, a Peruvian Paso horse and Golden Retriever dogs. She is a renowned teacher and trainer of dogs of all breeds and temperaments.
She has trained dogs from Michigan, Virginia, Colorado, Georgia, Ohio, Indiana and numerous dogs from Chicago, Illinois. But, more importantly, she has taught dog owners how to teach their dogs using her "Circle Concept" method.
As the dogs made an amazing transformation, after working with Sherry just one time, her clients often told her that they thought that she was performing magic. Sherry’s response was always the same; it's not magic, just knowledge. In the same session, she put the owner at the end of the leash and magically, the dog performed the same as she got the owner to change their actions.
A distributor of Eukanuba dog food was at the Linker Learning Centre one day. He was waiting for Sherry to take him to some kennels to help him pick out a puppy to take back to Instanbul, Turkey. While watching her train dogs at her school he was amazed at her training method.
He and his Rottweiler went back to Turkey and he shared his enthusiasm about this American's method of dog training. A prestigious kennel and dog training facility in Istanbul hired Sherry to come and teach their trainers this method. They were so impressed with the education provided that she was brought back to Turkey a year later to share her secrets again.
"I have been sending owners with problem dogs to Sherry's training facility for at least 20 years. A few years ago, I called Sherry because I had a dog that would come to my Veterinarian Clinic but would not let me touch it. It was very aggressive. I had tried everything. I even had the owner come to the clinic regularly and sit in the waiting room. I would come out and visit with the owner and talk to the dog but would not try to approach it. The situation was not improving and the dog needed shots and an examination.
After passing this information onto Sherry, she had the owner bring the dog to her for an assessment. After just one lesson, Sherry called to say that it was time that she had a lesson with me. We all met at the vet clinic.
Sherry demonstrated the technique that she had used to get the dog to feel comfortable with her, yes the dog wanted to bite her too. She then put me on the end of the leash and gave me step by step instructions. Within a few minutes the dog was sitting on my lap and I was able to pet it.
I then picked it up and went into the examination room. The dog had no trouble getting shots and a full examination. Sherry's "Circle Concept" that she uses before she teaches the dogs any words is amazing. You just have to do it to believe it."
